Harald Hårfagre

This is Harald Hårfagre, who according to history, unified Norway and become the first king to rule bigger parts of the land.

Says the legend he wouldn’t cut his hair until he could reign the whole Norway and only then, marry Gyda Eirikisdatter. It took him around 10 years to reach his goal.

That’s where he got his name, which means something like “beautiful hair” or “fine hair”.

For this composition I used several images to get my textures, and a photo as a reference for Harald himself. Later on, I’ll be posting more details about it.
